Grand Food Journal welcomes well-shaped proposals about ingredients, cooking techniques, kitchen objects, food history and the customs around food. We look for clear thinking, a fresh angle and a piece that gives readers something specific to understand.
What to propose
A strong pitch identifies its central question, explains why the answer is worth exploring and sketches the reader-facing takeaway. We are interested in focused explainers, comparisons, histories and carefully framed cultural pieces. Avoid claims that rely on an unverified personal anecdote or an expertise the proposal cannot support.
How to send a pitch
Use the Contact page to send a concise outline, the proposed category and a short note about your relevant experience or approach. Include a working title if you have one, but the idea matters more than polish. Please say whether the proposal has been offered elsewhere.
Before submitting
Send a proposal rather than a finished article unless the idea has been discussed first. Do not include confidential material or claim access to sources you cannot share. A pitch is a request for consideration, not a promise of publication.
